Losing Qantas gold status | the benefits when flying internationally. Hi travellers,
I reflect back on the benefits of achieving gold status and how I have utilised the extra baggage allowance and lounge access. I reached Qantas gold status early into my membership year due to christmas holidays and relocating to China for work.
I gained gold status by travelling economy internationally, as I was not living in Australia at the time. I held gold status all throughout my contract in China and it meant I had access to One World lounges in places such as Hong Kong, Seoul, and Doha.
Flying internationally, and especially on long haul flights is wonderful as that shower in between at the stopover is super refreshing.
